Our Staff and Volunteers Make the Difference
|
At the Isabel and Arthur Meighen Manor Long Term Care Facility (Meighen Manor) care is provided through a team approach where members of the team include staff, families, residents, and volunteers. We depend on each member of the team to provide the essential elements of compassion, understanding, and knowledge in the support and personal care for our residents. Our team supports residents and families in their care and treatment decisions and provides opportunities for personal exploration and growth. Our team is encouraged to develop new and different ways to help our residents maintain their physical, mental, emotional and spiritual well-being. Our residents rely on the compassionate ongoing relationships that develop in this value centred facility. Our strength is found in our staff’s and volunteers’ innovative approaches to providing care in a home-like setting. We develop personal relationships with our residents and their families that are both deep and satisfying. Our philosophy of care is founded on team work and resident centred care which encourages the continued independence of each resident in a warm, supportive, comfortable, safe and caring environment in which residents, family, staff and volunteers are respected and valued.
